Dear Constituent,
Like you, I want our communities to continue to be places we can be proud to call home - now and in the future. That’s why in this month’s survey I want to hear from you about the things you’re most proud of living in our area - and the things we need to address to keep our area somewhere you can be proud of.
So many of you have already told me about the pride you take in our beautiful natural environment. That’s why I have been campaigning to extend the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty - to give that environment even better protections. On Friday I was in Hexton with Natural England and Historic England, to discuss that campaign further.
It is also vital that we make sure everyone can feel safe in our communities. That’s why I continue to call on Hertfordshire County Council to take urgent action to improve road safety on Charlton Road. And it’s why on Saturday I was with the local police in Offley to hear about local people’s policing priorities.
Also in this week’s newsletter, I take a look ahead to the Budget (coming this week!), discuss my visits to Ickleford Primary School and a Cumbrian banking hub and look back on my work in Westminster this week - including launching the Next Generation Centre at the Adam Smith Institute, looking at policies for young people.
Read the newsletter in full to find out about everything I’ve been up to this week!
Yours,
Bim
