Dear Constituent,
Local village pubs are so important to our communities. That’s why this week I met again with the Save the Plough campaigners to discuss our efforts to protect this vital pub in Kings Walden.
Pubs are just one service that local people need. That’s why I’m pressing developers at “East of Luton” to deliver a new GP surgery serving our villages at the start of any development should they be granted planning permission. And in Harpenden it is vital that any potential station development results in more parking and better station access.
In Hitchin, I’m still pushing to improve road safety and deliver new Eastern access to Hitchin Station. This week I’ve had further contact with our Councils on these important issues.
And as new figures show that Hitchin & Harpenden has benefitted from more funding from the Multi-Sport Grassroots Facilities Programme than any other constituency in Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire since 2021, this week I visited Holwell and Breachwood Green - two of the latest beneficiaries of funding - to see what this means for our communities.
Read on to find out all about this - and much more - in this week’s newsletter!
Yours,
Bim
