Financial services are a major employer in Hitchin, Harpenden and the villages. As Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Financial Markets and Services I regularly meet with fellow Parliamentarians to discuss financial services and on Tuesday I joined colleagues for a dinner with the Governor of the Bank of England to look at the support the industry needs.
