Pirton’s Member of Parliament Bim Afolami MP visited the village to join in the fun at this year’s Pirton Show on Saturday 8th July.
The Member of Parliament joined local residents and businesses for the event, which is designed to bring the community together and give businesses, craft groups and charities the opportunity to engage with Pirton residents.
Bim Afolami MP said,
“The Pirton Show is always a fantastic event and my family and I had a great time getting involved and judging the Dog Show. I thoroughly enjoyed meeting so many people and businesses and seeing all the hard work that had gone into organising it.
“Pirton is a very special village with a thriving local community and the Show absolutely bore testament to that - well done to everyone involved. I look forward to coming again next year!”
Stuart Alexander, Chair of the Pirton Show Committee, said,
"It is always a pleasure to welcome Bim to the Pirton Show. He is very passionate about local causes and is well known in the village for his regular meetings with villagers and Action Groups in the village. We hope he and his children had a great time and we look forward to seeing him next year. "
