Bill Committees play a vital role in providing detailed scrutiny of legislation, to ensure that they do what they intend to and deliver for local people. The Energy Bill is an enormously important piece of legislation - you can watch my speech from a recent House of Commons debate on it here - and I am delighted to have been selected to sit on the Bill Committee to look at it. I will be studying it closely to ensure that it delivers on net zero, lower energy bills and more!
