Hitchin & Harpenden’s Member of Parliament Bim Afolami MP visited the Plume of Feathers pub in Ickleford to meet local residents in his first Pub Surgery of 2023 on Friday (17th February).
The Parliamentarian has hosted regular pub events since he was first elected in 2017 as part of his efforts to keep in touch with local people and hear their views on local and national issues. He was joined by more than 30 residents who were keen to engage with the MP and share their thoughts.
Bim Afolami MP said,
“Meeting with local residents to hear about your local and national priorities is one of the best parts of being the local Member of Parliament for Hitchin, Harpenden and the villages. It was a real pleasure to meet so many local people in Ickleford on Friday evening for a pint at my pub surgery at The Plume of Feathers.
“I will continue to get out and meet as many constituents as possible to hear your views over the coming years. It really helps to guide the work that I do on your behalf, to ensure that we continue to deliver on your priorities.”
