You have told me that you support the Government's plans to prioritise brownfield development. Following the announcement of £60m of Government funding for Councils to re-develop brownfield land and deliver new homes and jobs - and research from the CPRE Hertfordshire which shows that there are brownfield sites capable of unlocking more than 1,800 homes in Council areas covering Hitchin & Harpenden - I have written to the leaders of North Herts Council and St Albans City and District Council to ask them to work with me and the Government to deliver the potential of this brownfield land, taking advantage of the opportunity of the Brownfield Land Release Fund.
