We are all concerned about the recent closures of high street banks in Harpenden. Residents have told me that having access to cash and in-person banking services in the heart of our community is vitally important to them.
This week I wrote to the Leader of St. Albans City & District Council to call for a community banking hub to be included as part of the Harpenden Public Halls re-development. You can see my letter below. I believe that this development provides a unique opportunity to guarantee in-person banking services in Harpenden for generations to come.
