This week the Government has confirmed that they have reached an agreement in principle to liberalise all tariffs on imports from Ukraine under the UK-Ukraine Political, Free Trade and Strategic Partnership Agreement. I am informed that the Ukrainian Government has now confirmed that they will match this approach for their own UK imports. It is vitally important that we continue to support the Ukrainian economy whilst ensuring that the Russian economy is hurt by UK sanctions. I will continue working with Ministerial colleagues to promote these goals.
