The vital importance of access to local GP surgeries for our rural communities has been underlined by recent news from Kimpton about the prospect of the village’s GP surgery being closed. This week I have written to the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care to ask what steps the Government is taking to ensure that rural communities are able to maintain access to a local GP surgery.
