Following updated advice from the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation, young people aged 16-17 and those aged 12-15 with underlying health conditions will now be eligible to get the Covid vaccine. I am informed that 17 year olds in Hertfordshire who are within three months of their 18th birthday have now been offered appointments to get their first dose.
I am assured by the Hertfordshire Public Health team that young people and their families will receive appropriate information to ensure that they are adequately aware of all relevant facts prior to booking their appointment.
