Over the summer, London Luton Airport Limited (LLAL) began their public consultation for the proposal of expanding its annual passenger numbers from 18 million to 38 million by 2050. I have received a great amount of correspondence from local residents rightly concerned about this proposal and its potential impact. It is an unsustainable & unsuitable project that will negatively affect the Hitchin & Harpenden constituency throughout. Once again, I feel that we must be prepared to continue our fight against the expansion.
On Friday 18th January 2019, I will be holding a public meeting at Wheathampstead Memorial Hall from 7-8.30pm to provide an opportunity for residents to come along and find out more about what I have been doing to oppose the expansion and to ask any questions.
I trust you will be able to come along and look forward to seeing you there.
