Hitchin & Harpenden has become home to a number of Ukrainian refugees since the Russian invasion of Ukraine earlier this year. I know from my conversations with many Ukrainians and their host families that they are keen to find jobs and earn a living in our community. This week I have written to the Home Secretary to ask about support being provided to help Ukrainians to find employment after they arrive in Hitchin & Harpenden.
