Locally we have had a number of proposals for onshore renewables, particularly solar farms. In Westminster, I am working to ensure that the impact of these are mitigated on local people - including by working with Ministerial colleagues on a proposal to deliver cheaper energy prices for those living in the vicinity of new renewables projects. This week I wrote to the Secretary of State about what steps the Government is planning to take to support local communities.
