As a Member of Parliament I have no direct influence over whether development goes ahead or not - that’s a matter for the local Council. So when big development projects come forward, I work to lobby developers to ensure that the services and infrastructure delivered are appropriate and meet local need. This week I have had positive conversations about the possibility of including a GP surgery in the East of Luton development - and I’ll push for it to be delivered as early as possible if planning permission is granted, so that it serves people in our villages right now.
