This week the Government has announced new financial support for Ukrainian students in the UK. The Department for Education has made over £4m of additional funding available for higher education providers to distribute to their Ukrainian students who are currently experiencing financial hardships. From the 1st August, Ukrainian nationals granted leave under the Homes for Ukraine, Family scheme, or under the Ukraine Extension scheme will qualify for student support and home fee status if they are a new or continuing student on a higher education course. They will also qualify for advanced learner loans for further education courses.
