I spoke at the Solar and Storage Conference in Birmingham about the future of solar energy and solar policy. Solar will form a vital part of our future energy mix and we must work to deliver the development of new solar generation with the support of local communities. I am championing a new policy that will see communities directly impacted by new neighbouring solar farms compensated with cheaper - or even free - energy.
