Bringing together industry professionals to tackle the big challenges around energy - bringing prices down, delivering energy security, and moving towards a clean energy supply - is vitally important. As you may know, energy has long been an area of focus for me and I chair the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Renewable and Sustainable Energy and sit on the Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy Select Committee, so I was delighted to be invited to speak at this week's launch of Conservatives in Energy - a new informal network of people connected to the energy industry looking at these kinds of questions.
