I sat down with senior officials at the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities to discuss a proposal to deliver significant amounts of housing using existing buildings, rather than concreting over our green belt and beautiful countryside. We need to deliver more affordable and social housing in a way that also allows us to protect our beautiful local green spaces and biodiversity. I will continue to work hard in Westminster to deliver this.
