I sat on a Delegated Legislation Committee to consider the Draft Armed Forces Act (Continuation) Order 2022. This was an important constitutional duty, fulfilling a constitutional requirement extant since the Bill of Rights in 1689 which means the Armed Forces must be retained with the consent of Parliament.
