Bim Afolami MP, Member of Parliament for Hitchin and the villages, met with the new Chief Inspector for North Hertfordshire, Hannah Treadwell, on Friday (10th March).
The Member of Parliament has made delivering safer communities in Hitchin and the villages one of his top priorities and took the opportunity to speak to the Chief Inspector about her priorities and plans to tackle local crime.
Bim Afolami MP said,
“Making our local communities as safe as possible is vitally important. Local people have told me about a number of concerns around local crimes – from fly-tipping, to dangerous driving, thefts, anti-social behaviour and more. I work closely with the local police to ensure that these get tackled and that they have the support that they need to continue to make Hitchin and the villages safer.
“This was a good opportunity for me to meet with the new Chief Inspector and discuss our priorities around tackling local crime. I look forward to working with her in her new role.”
