Residents in Hitchin & Harpenden have told me how much they valuable having a visible policing presence in our community. Thanks to the good work done by the Police & Crime Commissioner and the Government, we now have record numbers of officers in Hertfordshire, but it is important that we continue to grow this number to keep residents safe. This week I wrote to the Home Secretary to ask her about her plans to recruit more police officers in Hertfordshire.
