It is extremely welcome news that on Sunday, we reached a significant milestone in our rollout of life-saving vaccines - helping to keep people safe as we continue on our roadmap to recovery.
Thanks to the ingenuity of our scientific community and the fantastic efforts of everyone involved in the rollout of the vaccines, we have now delivered an astonishing 30 million first doses to those most at risk.
On Sunday, we delivered a further 650,000 first and second combined doses, meaning 57 per cent of all adults across our United Kingdom have now received at least one dose – and we have everything in place to ramp up giving people their second jabs in line with the 12 week dose interval.
