I met with the Rt. Hon. Michelle Donelan MP, Minister of State for Universities, to discuss opportunities for young people. The Government has announed £8m extra funding for degree apprenticeships, which will help incentivise universities to expand their offering. This will help fill skills gaps and give new opportunities for young people - as Conservative Vice Chair for Youth and as your local MP I will continue to work with Ministerial colleagues to ensure young people in Hitchin & Harpenden have the opportunities they need to succeed.
