The Russian invasion of Ukraine and other recent pressures on energy supply have underlined the importance of energy security. This week I met with senior Israeli officials, experts in Eastern Mediterranean and others to discuss regional energy supplies and wider issues of international energy security.
As Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Renewable and Sustainable Energy and a member of the Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy Select Committee, delivering energy security remains a key focus of my Parliamentary work.
