As mentioned previously, banking services in Harpenden remain a key issue, with the closure of the last full bank branch on the High Street earlier this month. I am pushing hard for Harpenden to get a full service banking hub and this week I pressed our case directly with the Economic Secretary to the Treasury, Andrew Griffith MP. I am assured Treasury Ministers will closely consider our case.
