Financial services are at the heart of our economy - from business and premises insurance, to the equity needed for expansion, to overdraft facilities which help with cash flow. In order to achieve the Government's levelling up agenda and grow and spread opportunity, we will need financial services to play its part.
As Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Financial Markets and Services, I worked with colleagues, experts and industry professionals on this report which will fill a key gap in the Government's Levelling Up White Paper by expanding on the role of the financial services sector in levelling up. I will now work with Ministerial colleagues to take the recommendations in this report forwards.
