Joining the Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy Select Committee

I was very pleased to be elected to the Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy Select Committee. As your local Member of Parliament, I have taken a leading role in Westminster on discussions around small business policy (including working with the Treasury to deliver discretionary support for small businesses during the Covid pandemic) and on energy policy (most notably as Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Renewable and Sustainable Energy).

I will continue to work hard in Westminster to champion small business support and the development of a cheap, clean, homegrown energy supply.

Whenever I speak to people in Hitchin, Harpenden, and the villages, the NHS is high on the agenda. People rightly expect that their health service delivers for them, providing patients with the care that they need in a timely fashion.
