Solar energy will be a vital part of achieving a clean homegrown energy system, to help us meet our net zero aims but also to deliver energy security and protect Hitchin & Harpenden residents against international energy price shocks. As Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Renewable and Sustainable Energy and a member of the Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy Select Committee, energy policy is one of my main focusses in Parliament and this week I had further meetings with leading industry figures to discuss solar policy.
