As well as its role in providing banking services on our High Streets, there are a number of other reasons Financial Services is important to local people in Hitchin, Harpenden and the villages - not least that it is a major employer in our constituency. This week I joined a TheCityUK drop in event for MPs to hear more about their proposals to grow financial services - and the positive impact that could have in our area. This will continue to be an area of particular focus for me.
