Constituents have told me that the cost of living, tackling NHS waiting times and improving education are amongst their top priorities for Hitchin & Harpenden. In this week's Autumn Statement, the Chancellor set out vital support for the most vulnerable in Hitchin & Harpenden to cope with the rising cost of living - including increases to the minimum wage, extra support with energy bills until 2024 and retaining the pensions triple lock.
The Chancellor also announced an extra £11bn to our schools and NHS to help tackle backlogs and ensure that children have access to the best education possible.
