Bim Afolami MP, the Member of Parliament for Hitchin & Harpenden, visited Preston Primary School on Friday 21st July.
The Parliamentarian’s visit came after he had hosted a group of pupils from the school at the Houses of Parliament on Monday 17th July, where he spoke to them about life as a Member of Parliament, our democracy, politics, current events and more.
During his visit to the School, Mr. Afolami spoke to the whole student body, before meeting separately with their Pupil Parliament.
Speaking after his visit, Bim Afolami MP said,
“Preston Primary School is a brilliant local community school and it was a real pleasure to meet with their students and their Pupil Parliament. They asked me lots of insightful questions and I am sure that we will see some of them in the House of Commons before long! I will continue to engage with local children right across our area on their priorities for the future.”
