Hitchin’s Member of Parliament Bim Afolami MP visited the Milford Lodge Care Home in Hitchin on Wednesday (26th July).
The Member of Parliament met with residents and staff at the Care Home on his visit – part of a series of recent visits in Hitchin during Parliament’s summer recess to hear from a cross-section of local people about living and working in Hitchin.
Bim Afolami MP said,
“As a Member of Parliament, it is vitally important that I hear from people from all walks of life and backgrounds in Hitchin, Harpenden and the villages. Their views help to guide my work – locally and in Westminster – and inform the campaigns I do to make our area a better place to live and work. It was a real pleasure to meet staff and residents at Milford Lodge to hear their experiences in Hitchin and how we can make things even better.
“I’ll continue to work hard to ensure that everyone in our community is represented and has their voice heard.”
Lindsey Richmond, Manager of Milford Lodge said,
“It was appreciated that Bim took the time to visit the home and discuss topics with the residents.”
